Avilov Mikhail Ivanovich - Soviet Russian painter.
In 1904 - 1913 GG studied in class battle F.A.Rubo Academy of Arts, then at Samokisha.

During the 1st World War, published in magazines military sketches.

In the 20s Avilov created a series of paintings on the theme of the Civil War, "Siberian partisans" (1926), "Delivery of Kolchak's troops near Krasnoyarsk" (1926), "Breakthrough of the Polish front of the First Cavalry Army" (1928) and others

  The serial method is realistic and professional skill nominated Avilov of the best Soviet battle painters.

  During the Great Patriotic War, the artist created a monumental painting - "Boy with a Peresvet Chelubey" glorifying the heroic struggle of the Russian people against the Mongol yoke. This picture still remains a classic battle-historical genre.
