The time when this extraordinary artist created with the same uninvited fate, was the heyday of Art Deco.It was an era of style, emancipation of women, shocking ... But Tamara stood out among the most shocking women, her behavior shocked even the bohemians, and of course, the townsfolk. It was called "Diva Decaux".Such a title she deserved not only for her way of life;in him there is more recognition of her talent - magnificent, bright. The painting of this amazing artist is sensual, fascinating with its beauty, an integral part of Deco.

Beginning to describe the life of this amazing woman, biographers inevitably encounter the traps set by herself. In the declining years she claimed that she "tried everything" and that this was her direct duty as an artist. She rewrote her biography several times, deleting from her all inconvenient facts and dates.Due to the efforts of the artist, it is impossible to establish the exact date of her birth. The most frequently mentioned date - May 11, 1898 - seems too late when compared with other facts of her life.

So, Tamara Lempicka (Lempitskaya, Lempika) was born at the end of the XIX century, most likely in Moscow. Her parents were a Russian Jew Boris Gursky and a certain Malvina Decller.Several years after the birth of the future artist, her father disappeared in an unknown direction (and under obscure circumstances).

As a child, Tamara predicted the future of the pianist. Her love for music was instilled in her beloved grandmother Clementine. The girl, by hook or by crook, made her way into her rooms, listened to her grandmother's piano playing and dreamed of concerts, flowers, applause and admirers.Perhaps she really would have become a pianist, but in 1907, the same grandmother Clementine went with her to Italy. From this trip - at least, so then remembered the artist - and began her passion for painting.

In 1910, the girl spent more and more time with her mother in St. Petersburg.Young age does not prevent her from appearing everywhere, where it is interesting. There is a legend (implicated, in all likelihood, still on the truth) that one day Lempitskaya in the company of senior comrades managed to penetrate the ball-masquerade and dressed as a shepherdess, carry with them into the hall two live geese. At the same ball, the legend says, Tamara saw her future husband - Tadeusz Lempitsky, the son of a rich and noble Polish family who had just received a diploma in law.The young man was expected to have a brilliant future and a dizzying career, but he preferred a secular career and with some incredible speed captivated the hearts of St. Petersburg ladies with his exquisite appearance and impeccable manners.

Our heroine desperately fell in love with a twenty-year-old bon vivant, but for the time being she kept her feelings to herself. She had something to distract - she began attending classes at the Academy of Fine Arts.Since 1914, the girl has been living permanently in St. Petersburg, which she remembered with her parade-rousing party (later she said that in this city "champagne is ordered not with bottles, but with gallons").Soon she achieved what she wanted: she won Tadeusz. After a while they got married. But the family happiness of the young couple did not last long. The repressions began, Tadeusz was arrested.Tamara managed to "pull her husband out of custody" with the help of her female charm, and they had to move back to Poland first, and then to Paris.Tadeusz was ruined ..

As it often happens in life, externally strong Tadeusz could not cope with such vital difficulties. In Paris, he fell into a deep depression, began to drink.Tamara herself had to provide them financially herself. For a while they live selling family jewelry.

Tamara managed to conquer Paris. She is familiar with all the fashionable and influential people, she manages to build her works in the best galleries, and behind the portraits "queue" is built for her.In 1929, her self-portrait "Woman in green Bugatti" falls on the cover of a famous German magazine, which extols Lempitsku, as an ideal woman - independent, beautiful, free ...

In general, during this period Tamara lives as she always wanted. She leads an exclusively secular way of life, away from her husband and children.Becomes scandalously known for his novels with women. In the same period, she meets Baron Küfner, her future husband.Together they moved to America, where Tamara also opened all the doors, she became a favorite Hollywood portraitist.Baron madly loved Tamara, idolized her and her paintings. They will live together for a long time - 29 years. He managed to find the key to her inner world, to pull out of the "party".

After his death from a heart attack, she will say: "I lost, a man who madly loved me;I lost a man who madly loved my work and supported me - I lost everything! ".She would never marry again, she would spend more time with her daughter Kisette and her family.

Kisette:Kisette was devoted to her mother, despite the fact that she did not give her much time as a child. In 1980, Lempicka died in a dream at the age of 82 years.Kiesett was near.About the shocking life of her mother, her daughter wrote the book "Passion by Design".De Stael:
