The picture is very realistic, it seems almost a photograph - thanks to the masterful use of the contrast of light and shadow. It is also pleasant to perceive the palette of natural colors, which do not create neither too bright nor dark spots. The scene depicted by the author is rather insignificant, and probably plays a secondary role, it was more important to demonstrate the talent and ability to own a brush, so the canvas is not bad, but can not pretend to be considered a masterpiece.
