Abstract art
Abstract art (German gegenstandslose Kunst) - the same thing as abstract art. B. The term appeared in Russia and Germany after the emergence of nonrepresentational compositions. After the Second World War, the terms abstract art, abstract art supplanted other similar designations, first in English-speaking countries, and then everywhere.
