The technique of writing a picture is such that, it seems, the whole is made of straw, separate blades of grass. The author has depicted the composition with a multitude of subtle strokes, frequent alternation of light and dark areas, so the canvas seems pocky, rough, as if it consists of numerous small elements. The colors are very light, pastel, this feature is also associated with the scattered straw, ears, dry grass. The whole composition creates a feeling of dryness, rustling, even the clothes [Expand]
