The picture leaves some feeling of variegation. The composition is quite simple, but some fragments are rich in detail and paint. First of all, they are chickens, there are a lot of them, they are multi-colored and so small that they seem only stained. The foliage of the trees makes the same impression; lighter leaves alternate with darker ones, thanks to which the picture seems more dynamic - the viewer can feel the wind that moves the leaves and almost hears the squeak of chickens running.
