It is horizontal format painting. William Shayer painted men and women, who are returning home after very successful fishing. They were able to catch a huge amount of fish and they are happy to bring them for late dinner. The woman who carried the basket with fish is especially looks happy and joyful. The artwork “Fisherfolk and their Catch” is perfect and ideal for French interior style of home decoration. I like the work of William Shayer as it is full of life, natural and colorful.
