The artwork is horizontal format painting. Fausto Zonaro painted men whose job (I would guess) is to help illiterate people to write something. Perhaps, people need to write complaints to the court or the local authorities about some wrongdoings. The painter depicted men sitting at their old desk and explaining something to poor woman. The artwork “The Scribe” is ideal for modern Moroccan style of interior decoration home decoration. I don’t like the artwork of Fausto Zonaro as its mood is dull and [Expand]
