It is horizontal format painting. Fernand-Anne Piestre Cormon depicted a lot of women and men who are very anxious and troubled. Somebody had been died. It looks like that their master passed away. So everybody is in the harem is crying and mourning. Most women are lying lifelessly. The men are trying to enter the harem and looking through the window. The artwork is perfect for Orient interior style of home decoration. I do like this work. It precisely and perfectly reflects the moment of terror [Expand]
