It is vertical format painting. Edouard Frederic Wilhelm Richter depicted two women (is it harem?) who are chatting and talking on their master. Evidently, they strongly dislike him, probably, even hate master for his bad attitude and disgusting behavior. The seated woman is especially distinctive in her expression. The women do not notice that either master or his servant is hiding and attentively listen to gossips. Very nice work of Edouard Frederic Wilhelm Richter – natural and well-balanced composition.
