I really like this. I've been hnvaig a Facebook conversation with a good friend recently on the topic of knowing and valuing one another (and, for that matter, ourselves) based on who we are vs. what we do. It's a tough concept to *get* . . . but an important one, I think, if we are to see ourselves and others as God sees us. Thanks so much for sharing.

Ness, thank you for posting this poem! I love the conpcet, and love the approach.My one suggestion would be to give the reader an image or metaphor in the absence of either, this is far less powerful than it could be less poetic. Would love to see any future versions! :-)Miriam [url= [link=
