The artwork is vertical format painting. Caesar van Everdingen painted a marvelous artwork with is densely populated by newly-born kids. The painter shows how Frederik Hendrik was born and how his father while happy and joyful is protecting him from the dark side of the life. His mother is cautiously looking back.
