So extremely grteaful and proud of my husband Walt who served our country in the Air Force. Also this is a very special Veterans Day for us as a family as we just welcomed our son Jared home from Afghanistan. So proud of him and the sacrifices he has made for our country. I do not take this blessing lightly as I am grteaful to all those families who bore the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom through the loss of a family member. God's blessings to all our veterans! Thank you for your service.

I will pray for all of our Veterans this day and those still serving. Their seircve is truly a gift and blessing for all of us in this Country. I think of my Father who served in Vietnam, and the fact that it was so traumatic he still cannot speak much about his time there.God bless all veterans for the spoken and even unknown sacrifices they have made for all of us.

And if you not only understand the imonrtapce of these folks and their service, but also the imonrtapce of the very ideals for which they serve, then you know that it is incumbent upon you to thank them at least twice. After all, it would seem that half of this country is comprised of idiots, if not complete scoundrels, who are more than likely utterly remiss in such understanding and subsequent reverence. On a somewhat related note, I'm not sure how to mark my timesheet for my absence on Wednesday: [Expand]

You've humbled and horoned me, sir. Thank YOU, more than I can say.@Mike Porter- If I didn't work at home, I'd certainly have filed for sick time of SOME sort - because I was as sick at heart as a soul can be.@gwhdad/texas- You did do something special when you took the oath to serve, and to accept whatever challenges came your way. To stand with your comrades in arms and defend this nation. There is more honor in accepting that responsibility - no matter what your service turns out [Expand]
