The composition is dedicated to the seductive lady, who is in a company of cavalier, perfectly matching her for her posturing, theatricality and sweetness. The heroine openly flirts, takes seductive poses, flirts a glance, and her partner in the picture plays along to her with all her strength, defiantly clings to her heart, leans over her and, possibly, approaches at one or the other side, literally trying to surround her with attention.
