EASEL (from it. Malbrett, letters. - the shelf for painting; English easel, фр. chevalet) - the wooden or metal machine for painting on which become stronger a stretcher with a canvas, a cardboard, a board at various height (and it is frequent with a various inclination). Main types the EASEL - a collapsible tripod and a stationary EASEL on a horizontal support. Easy sliding EASELS tripods are intended for landscape etudes.
