The canvas Russian artist will be kept in the monastery Vatopedi

Monumental a painting of St. Petersburg artist Vyacheslav Cebotari dedicated to the Divine Liturgy, presented today in St. Petersburg. Triptych, created in Vatopedi monastery of Mount Athos, was put in the center of Svyatoduhovskom the Alexander Nevsky Monastery.

The artist lived and worked in the monastery, where, along with numerous relics are kept of the Blessed Virgin, who recently brought the faithful to worship in Russia.

Working on the product, the artist sought to convey the spirit of the Athonite life. Subject triptych inspired by the monastic prayer. If the viewer is in the heavenly abode where there is the mystery of communion with God paints and concentrated. The artist gave the Byzantine spirit of service.

Vatopedi continues to live by the rules and traditions of the ancient Byzantine empire that has left an indelible mark on Christian culture.
