Venus or Aphrodite - the beloved daughter of Zeus and the wife of the god of fire and the blacksmith craft of the lame Volcano or Hephaestus, Venus repeatedly cheated on the Volcano with gods and mortals. She did not like Vulcan and in the picture she turned her face away from her husband, who with great love reaches for his wife. Around them are angels playing with objects with which Vulcan works in his forge.
